Beer Education

This month’s Beer Education is about food pairings and brought to you from Terrapin! (Direct link Here)
Tap into your cravings this holiday season by pairing your favorite fall beers with the ultimate comfort foods!
Yes, it’s that time of year again…
Time to unwind with Mom’s homemade casseroles, mac and cheese, and those all-time favorite desserts that satisfy everyone’s ultimate sweet tooth. This is the type of feast you’ve been missing since last holiday season!
But how to kick this year’s Thanksgiving celebration up a notch?
Take your favorite Terrapin beers and give them a starring role!
Pair a beer with each course, or get experimental and try your hand at incorporating them into the recipes!
If you’re not sure where to start, we’re here to help.
Pair our Rye Pale Ale with this Bacon Mac ‘N Cheese (1); this is the perfect start to a fantastic feast that you know will keep you full through Sunday. The sweet-smoky flavors from the caramelized bacon will complement the spicy hop/malt balance of the Rye.
Mmmmm… smell that? That’s this Tangy Honey Glazed Ham (2) that Mom’s worked for hours to prepare to glazed goodness! Your mouth is watering by now, we’re sure. Pour yourself a Hopsecutioner to sip on while you carve, as the rich maltiness and citrusy hop bitterness will contrast beautifully with that crisp caramelized crust. And of course, it would be unfair to forget about desserts… that’s the best part of the meal!

Our winter stouts are made for cold weather, so put them to work in your Thanksgiving spread!
If you can’t decide how to fix your chocolate craving, go for broke with this two-fer deal:Creme Brulee Topped Chocolate Stout Brownies (3) paired with Moo-Hoo!
Or, for the coffee lovers (and those about to curl up for a tryptophan-induced nap), try these Chocolate Chip, Stout & Beer Nut Cookies (3) with Wake-n-Bake Coffee Oatmeal Stout!
A grand feast such as this doesn’t happen instantly; while waiting for dinner perhaps you’re reminiscing on childhood memories, or hanging out with family, or simply relaxing with a favorite movie? Pass the time while sipping on our smooth chocolate peanut butter porter, Liquid Bliss
