Dirty Oar Wort Share results are in!! The Altbier wins!! Judging sheets will be handed out at the April meeting for anyone who entered. Thanks again to the Dirty Oar as well as judges from Playalinda and Hell ‘n Blazes!!
Things that are about to happen:
Intracoastal Happy Hour April 9th 6pm – join us after work for beer and frivolity!!
Craft Brews in the Park, April 13th
Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with over 30 breweries pouring their wares and SAAZ will have a tent where we will be pouring about 4-5 different delicious homebrews for your pleasure.
SAAZ SPRING PICNIC!!!
Aprils meeting is our spring picnic and chili cook off!! To be held at Don and Donna D’s neighborhood clubhouse on April 20th, 2pm-5pm , The Ridge Club 1187 Ballinton Dr, Melbourne 32940
There is a pool – please bring suits and towels if you wish to swim!!
Bring beers to share, chili if you wish to compete, and side dishes are welcome if making chili isn’t your thing. Club will be providing some basic chili condiments (tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream, fritos, jalapenos etc).
There will be a raffle at the party!! Bring cash/cards to get raffle tickets if you are looking to score some cool beer stuff.

T-shirts – signup sheet and money collection at April meeting. Absolute last deadline to sign up and pay is May 1st, $15 for tank/short sleeve, $20 for long sleeve
Requests/sign up for BUBR planning meeting, May 17 at Balibar – looking for 4-5 core volunteers
We are also seeking about 10 highly motivated beer enthusiasts who are looking to take their drinking to the next level by learning the basics of beer judging. Sign up at the April meeting or email/FB message Greg Bessette (gcbessette@gmail.com) if interested in attending 2 beer boot camps (June 9th and July 7th) in preparation to participate as a non BJCP judge for Commander SAAZ in August.

The Bottoms Up Beer Run (BUBR) June 1st 6pm, Wickham Park
Proceeds from the race benefit St. Baldrick’s and SAAZ.
All beer recipe supplies have been handed out and several brews already fermenting away. As a club member please promote this run as we want to encourage as many participants as possible. If you have posters or post cards please put them up at your workplace or other busy location (with permission of course) to promote the event and encourage more runners, drinkers and walkers to join us. (The posters are not encouraging sign up if left in your trunk or closet!!). Sign up, like and share this event as much as possible!! REGISTER FOR BUBR
We will need volunteers for the day of the event. Interested volunteers: please plan to attend the organizational meeting for BUBR to be held at Balibar on Merritt Island 5/17 at 7 pm. We need at least 5 dedicated volunteers to help with organization and facilitate day of the run.
