April Brewzletter – Take 2

Sorry to flood your inboxes again…

I was on a cruise last week (maybe drinking???) and tried to get the newsletter out in time. Trying to do this on a phone proved to be a little challenging and important details were left out. So hopefully this fills in the gaps of info.

This Saturday is World of Beer’s Crafts Brews in the Park. SAAZ is pouring, we have enough beer/mead/cider. We also have some volunteering to help with set-up/during event/breakdown. Please email Anne if you are interested and I will get you on the list. prez@saaz.org

Set-up time to report at WOB is 10am, done by 1pm. Take-down is 5pm-6pm.

For event volunteers helping with set-up/take-down, WOB will provide a 2 hour party at 7pm-9pm open drafts. Drinking during the beer fest is highly discouraged by the organizer. So please have fun but keep yourself in check during the event. Save the chugging for later 🙂

Chili Cook-off is this Sunday, April 23 from 1-5pm at VIERA Regional Park

Please RSVP to events@saaz.org or on the Facebook event. Bring your best chili entry or a great side dish that goes along with chili. I am bringing some Jalepeno Popper Mac and Cheese! Of course don’t forget the great beers to share (commercial beers welcomed at the park) to wash it all down with!

I will have the score sheets from the Beachfly Wort Share and medals from Hurricane Blowoff to pass out.

AJ and your events team has 2 more happy hours to add to your social calendars!

Hot ‘n Humid Competition hosted by Brewer’s Anonymous is now accepting entries.

I stand corrected that for the first time they are going to be a part of the Florida Circuit! So SAAZ will reimburse you for your first 2 entries.

Shameless extra plug for BUBR! The Bottoms Up Beer Run is June 3rd. We are over 50% full so keep the registrations coming in. We have some great sponsors but could always use more! You have a business or a friend with one that might want to sponsor us??? Let me know.

Don’t forget I need your help that day from 3-8pm at Wickham Park. It will be fun, there will be food and beer but we have to host over 400 people and that takes some work by the group.

I think that is all the updates for now. See you this weekend.

Cheers, Anne Gregg your prez
