You can volunteer for the event or the SAAZ booth.<\/p>\n<p><b>Event Volunteers<\/b> need to arrive at noon and plan to stay until 5:30pm. You will get a shirt and be asked to help pour beers and educate attendees on the beer.<\/p>\n<p><b>SAAZ Booth Volunteers<\/b> will need to pour homebrew, answer questions about home brewing and the club. <i>We also need your kegs of homebrew to serve at the SAAZ booth, let Dave know if you have some beer to donate or can brew in time for the event. Ask him for one at the next meeting so we can include you!<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<hr align=\"center\" noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<h1><b>SAAZ Library <\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Have you ever wanted to read up on how to make different styles of beer?\u00a0Or perhaps you would like to see different techniques for brewing.\u00a0If so, the SAAZ Library may have what you are looking for!!\u00a0You can view the entire list of publications\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1_X5cu3vgWaaudX8HVNrMXkX7Gow8AejpivqmL8aoNk0\/edit\" target=\"_blank\">Here<\/a>.\u00a0If you see something that interests you, simply send an email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:SAAZLibrarian@gmail.com\">SAAZLibrarian@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0with your name and the publication title, and the Librarian will bring it to the next monthly member meeting.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<hr align=\"center\" size=\"2\" width=\"100%\" \/>\n<\/div>\n<h1><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saaz.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dark-Helmet.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1724\" alt=\"Dark Helmet\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saaz.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dark-Helmet-300x282.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.saaz.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dark-Helmet-300x282.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.saaz.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dark-Helmet-1024x963.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.saaz.org\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Dark-Helmet.jpg 1224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Member Submission &#8211; Jason Stroble<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>For those that don\u2019t know me, my name is Jason Stroble and I\u2019ve been a SAAZ member for about four years now and a homebrewer since 2008.\u00a0 Recently, my wife Sabrina Stroble, took one of my homebrews, created a homebrew African Stew, and I paired it with even more of my homebrew!<\/p>\n<p>I call my home brewery The Dino Brewing Company.\u00a0 In my \u201cexperimental\u201d line of beers (the Paleo Discovery Line) I developed and brewed a 10%, 80 IBU Imperial Stout and named it \u201cDark Helmet.\u201d\u00a0 From my \u201cseasonal\u201d line of beers, beers I only brew during certain seasons, I developed and brewed a 7.6%, 123 IBU all Centennial Hops Imperial American IPA and named it \u201cThe Cenator.\u201d\u00a0 Both of these beers were featured in the dinner listed below \u2026 but since you don\u2019t have either of those brews at your disposal I recommend substituting my homebrew with your homebrewed Imperial Stout and Centennial focused IPA or substituting in the commercial brews Founders Imperial Stout and Founders Centennial IPA.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dark Helmet African Stew &#8211; The Recipe<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/b> (<i>NOTE:\u00a0 Unless otherwise specified please use all fresh ingredients.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>2 Red Chili Peppers \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a01 Large Red Onion<br \/>\n4 Cloves of Garlic\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil<br \/>\n1\/2 Cup of Sunbutter\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sea Salt as Described Below<br \/>\n1\/2 Tablespoon Nutmeg \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a014.5 ounce can of crushed tomatoes<br \/>\n1 Cup of Arugula \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a01 Cup of Spinach<br \/>\n1.5 Cups of Yellow Corn (can be frozen) \u00a01 Can of Black Beans<br \/>\n2 Large Sweet Potatoes \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2 Medium Skinless\/Boneless Chicken Breast<br \/>\n6 oz Dino Brewing Company&#8217;s Dark Helmet Imperial Stout (or your substitution)<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cooking Directions:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1) Boil the chicken until cooked with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.<br \/>\n2) Heat the 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil in a medium\/large pot on medium heat.<br \/>\n3) Add the chopped Large Red Onion and cook until soft but not brown.<br \/>\n4) Use a food processor to emulsify the 4 Cloves of Garlic and 2 Red Chili Peppers. Add them to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.<br \/>\n5) Add a pinch of salt and mix in.<br \/>\n6) Blend the not strained can of tomatoes in a blender for 30 seconds. Add to the pot.<br \/>\n7) Stir in 1\/2 Cup of Sunbutter until smooth.<br \/>\n8) Shred and add the cooked 2 Medium Skinless\/Boneless Chicken.<br \/>\n9) Add 6 oz of Dino Brewing Company&#8217;s Dark Helmet Imperial Stout (or your substitution), 10 oz Water, a pinch of salt, and 2 cubed large Sweet Potatoes. Mix well.<br \/>\n10) Cover the pan and simmer for about 15 minutes (until the sweet potatoes are tender but not falling apart).<br \/>\n11) Add 1 Can of strained Black Beans, 1.5 Cups of Yellow Corn, 1 Cup of Spinach, 1 Cup of Arugula, 1\/2 Tablespoon Nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.<br \/>\n12) Cook until the beans and corn are heated through and the spinach and arugula is wilted.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Serving<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Plate in a bowl and serve alongside the Dino Brewing Company&#8217;s Cenator Imperial American IPA (or your substitution) in a standard pint glass.
