Club Activities

Being a SAAZ Member has its benefits!

Join us and partake in pub crawls, parties, competitions, meetings and more…

Meetings

SAAZ usually meets the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2pm. General membership meetings are held at various venues around Brevard County. Meetings include educational presentations as well as information about competitions, festivals, and other beer-related events.  Members bring homebrew for feedback and rare commercial brews for sharing. General Meetings are usually held in January, February, April, May, July and August. Check the calendar!

Community Events

SAAZ is dedicated to helping the community and our members are often found volunteering around Brevard County. Our club hosts the Bottoms Up Beer Run to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. We provide volunteers and pour our homebrew at many local charity events and festivals. We also support national level activities such as the American Homebrew Association’s “Learn to Homebrew Day.” We are always happy to share our time and knowledge.

Do you have a community event that SAAZ members can volunteer at? Email events@saaz.org and let us know!

Parties and Pub Crawls

We typically have five parties a year! Spring (March), Summer (June), SAAZtoberfest (October), MEADing (November) and Christmas (December). Intraclub Brew Challenges and cook offs are often held in conjunction with these parties.

SAAZ members like to brew and compare their homemade products. They also appreciate craft specialties from breweries across the state. SAAZ strives to organize a yearly pub crawl/bus trip outside of our local area.
